Tranquil WatersAs we are on the north western point ? we are able to view beautiful sunsets. As we are in Nungwi, the northern most part ? we have wild tropical surroundings and pristine white beaches, and as we are on Zanzibar, we are surrounding by the unforgettable turquoise water of the Indian Ocean, a postcard picture for sure.

The area we are situated, Nungwi, is and always has been the spot with the most atmosphere and good vibes of the island. Most of the hotels and bungalows are situated in close proximity to each other and all the beaches and restaurants are open for anyone to go to, so the general feel of the locale is friendly and inviting. The local village of Nungwi is in close proximity so tourism and the local cultural heritage mingle on an everyday basis. The fish are still brought on the backs of bicycles, the local fisherman still use their picturesque Dhows to fish on, Zanzibar is still very much Zanzibar in the wild northern region. We at Amaan Bungalows try to use our rich cultural and exotic surrounding to hopefully give our guests a one-of-a-kind holiday so please, karibuni!

Restaurants
We have two different restaurants on the property at the moment, the Fat Fish Restaurant and the Blue Sea Restaurant. Both build on the waters edged with extended decks that go over the ocean, they provide a perfect setting for any feast. In both restaurants you can Dine on a vast selection of wonderfully prepared seafood and local cuisine that meets the tastes of any palate or budget.

Television
There are satellite televisions in both restaurants, and in the internet café, that are available for the viewing of sporting events such as rugby, tennis, soccer and more. For all of you ardent sports fans who like to be kept up to date and have the luxury of enjoying it in a tropical environment.

Internet café
We have an internet café that is open from 7am until 11pm everyday for you to keep in touch with loved ones and up to date with the rest of the world. There is a small fee for the service.

Money changing
We have a money changing facility on the property giving the most up to date rates possible provided from the Stone Town main money changers. It is possible to change USD$, Tanzanian shillings, South African Rand, Pounds, Euros, and most other currencies from around the world as we receive many guests from all over the world and hope to accommodate all.

Gift/ souvenir shops
There are 2 gift/souvenir shops on the property stocked with all the typical Zanzibar style fabrics like kangas and kikoys, Maasai blankets as there are many of the Maasai people on Zanzibar, famous aromatic Zanzibar spices, coffees, and array of the famous spice chai (tea). Jewelry, candles, handicrafts and more can also be bought in the shops. 90% of the merchandise is hand made in Zanzibar using the natural age old skill of the local people. Beautiful woven baskets and artfully carved coconut shells.

Mini supermarket
A new addition is a new mini supermarket stocked with all basic supplies and toiletries, snacks, bottled water, chocolates and other goods. It is conveniently situated on the property.
