The hostel is a beautiful redeveloped old building from the end of the 19th Century, situated just over the road from the gardens of Catete Palace. We are only a 15 minute walk from the Arches of Lapa, Cinelândia and Flamengo, from where you can visit Sugar Loaf Mountains (Pão de Açúcar) and Christ the Redeemer. The most important museums of Rio are all in the cultural corridor also accesible on foot via Rua do Catete a stones throw from the hostel. The Imperial Museum, The oi Museum of the Future, the Municipal Theatre and The Academia Brasileira de Letras are located here. Our staff is very knowledgeable about all of these diversions and happy to assist you in whatever way we can.
